It will definitely be done in the next few days! But by midnight???? I am so frustrated. How can I have a cookbook without a dessert chapter? I am looking at cake boss right now on Netflix. It's inspirational but I am not going any faster. This is killing me because I set a deadline. I have to go to church and I overslept today so I am behind. This is my dream WHAT IS MY PROBLEM??????? Sorry Dollies!!!! I want to give a happy shout to Tiffany my little sis! Welcome to the food madness baby! I cannot wait to tell you all that I am done.
I'm going back in!
A casual place to find out about cooking basic dishes, getting restaurant reviews, observing my journey to finish the cookbook and work for the food network!

Ok I'm well into "meats" I finished "sides" lost a couple of my meat recipes but that's cool! It keeps me on my toes! Hey Jazminn! Thanks for being a part! The Herb and Citrus Turkey is to die for!!! Man oh Man! Instead of my usual butter I greased him up with that Basil oil I bought myself for Christmas:-) DEEELisheeoH-SOOOOO!!!! Smells so good I have to put it in the book but I forgot how heavy the tukey is and did I measure? Ok just have to wing it cause my people have to know how good it is. I asked the girls to come down and eat some at 1AM...my little man had some too. Alright Dollies! I'm out!

Ok Not sticking to the game plan. Iam now jumping across "meats" and doing "kids favorites" I had the meats done in different places and cannot find them!!! Hmmm just got to look harder I guess ok my turkey is not in the oven. What should I cook for dinner??? All this talk about food and I'm not cooking. Me and CeCe andKendal made a Hershey's Chocolate cake it smells divine! ut not turkey. Ok while typing Dollies I will get that turkey in the oven and find my meats:-)
Welcome to my new home!
Wow the latest additions to the "cooked" family! All play a major part of the book to be:-) Tynetta my beloved cousin I made a dish inspired by your famous taco salad. I completed that page about a month ago filled with shout outs and how you always bring it to every occasion! YEN or Sinyan my beautifully spiritual sister...is not only part of my test kitchen staff but also has inspired and given me the recipe fora cake made famous on the tv show that started the cookbook in the first place. Last but not least Hakim my brother is the photo talent for the food modeling in the book!! I love you all! Ok today I'm working on completing the "meats" section. However I'm baking Yen yen's pound cake and a turkey I didn't get to make on Christmas. Bye bye for now dollies!

It's ON!
I realize now that I use entirely too many exclamation points!!!! It's the Oprah in me is all :-) Can't she stay on that show long enough to put my book out??? Anybody know my girl "O" plug me please!!!
Ok so wow..I am soooo excited my good friend from way back Yvette Carter and Leem Leem (Salim) my bestest friend, sister, supporter ever are both following the blog. It's so exciting I feel like Julie:-) Yeah I did not even look at the book. Troy asked me to but I don't feel ready at this moment. I do this weekly but I am feeling more motivated to do more fequent entries. Working on "Entrees" and "Meats" and yes I have to do the excerpt on the Daniel Fast. I love God if I don't include Him...who am I? nothing...
Love all my little Doll Babies

Happy Belated, Merry Christmas!
Is it done yet?
I made a simple yet delicious creamy, cheese sauce today so I will jot it down....
Simple Cheese Sauce
1 1/2 sticks butter
1-2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp shredded Parmesan cheese
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Pinch salt
Pinch white pepper
1/2 tsp dry parsley
Melt butter in a medium sauce pan on a low to med heat. When completely melted, sprinkle flour in butter and whisk until blended. Add milk while still slowly whisking. when you have used all milk add garlic powder blend well. add parsley, blend well. Lastly, add Parmesan cheese. Continue to whisk sauce. If it becomes thick, add more milk or water to thin out. Pour this sauce over warm pasta or chicken and/ or shrimp. Enjoy!

Get it Done NOW!!!
Hey Dollies!
Well no one has joined my blog so I am probably not speaking to anyone! I am sleepy and have not worked on the book in a week before today. However thanks to Troy I did about 6-7 recipes in 2-3 hours so "Soups and Stews" is done. And I am almost finished with "Sides". "Entrees" is next which is actually not necessary...I only have three entries for that chapter. Then I have to finish up "Meats", "Kids Favorites" and "Desserts".
I think that the Daniel Fast and spiritual piece will go into the next book still not sure how I want to do that!
I'm tired!! Everyone is saying that starting a restaurant is not a smart business move right now because of the economy and the fact that there are so many restaurants in the Philly area. Hmmmm not certain I'm worried about that. We'll see...... :-D

My recipes will be here if you want me to try something out...send it to me Dolly!
Startin' out
Hey World! This is Ma Joy! I love cooking and I can't wait for you to taste some of the things coming from my less than adequate but loving kitchen! I have got to get this book out! As we go you'll learn more about me and what's going on in my food life. I hate explaining and introductions!
So get in where you fit in... and if you figure something out I will always (try) to speak the truth!
Troy keeps telling me to finish the book and this will chronical that journey!
I lost 9 freaking recipes from the book a night ago and it floored me. I think I am ready to jump back on fries!
Love you dollbabies!
